Our Pastor

About Pastor Mesfin Tilaye:

Mesfin clearly heard God’s calling on his life to full time ministry while in Rome, in 1991. In the bible, God asked the prophet Isaiah, “Who shall I call and who will go?” When he was preparing him for ministry, God impressed upon Mesfin’s heart a similar calling, which he humbly answered, “I shall go”. While there, he served as an elder at Rome’s Ethiopian Evangelical Church for a period of two years. For an additional year, he served under the main Pastor in teaching, preaching the Word and church administration. Rome’s Ethiopian Evangelical Church ordained him and sent him out to teach. As an ordained minister, Pastor Mesfin has faithfully served all over Italy, in the cities of Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence and Bologna.

In 2002, he moved to the United States. For the following four years, he served as a board member at All Nations Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He joined Bethel Evangelical Church in July of 2006 as the main Pastor. Pastor Mesfin Tilaye is married to Aynalem “Nunu” Demessie and they have three sons.
